Under the Cannabis Act and the Cannabis Regulations (CR), license holders are only permitted to use pest control products (PCPs) that are approved for use on cannabis under the Pest Control Products Act (PCPA). In May 2017, Health Canada announced that it would require mandatory testing for the presence of pesticide active ingredients in all cannabis products before products could be sold or provided to individuals. The Mandatory cannabis testing for pesticide active ingredients came into effect on January 2, 2019. CannaLabs has developed and validated an analytical method for pesticide active ingredients test based on Health Canada regulations and requirements.
